Medical Physics PhD students, Andrea Houck of the Quantitative Imaging Methods Lab (QIML), and Garrett Fullerton of the Liver Imaging Research Program (LIRP), both received the 2023 National Science Foundation (NSF) Graduate Research Fellowship (GRF) for their work on AI and Machine Learning. This nationally competitive fellowship provides three years of financial support for graduate study, including an annual stipend of $37K. Andrea and Garrett are the first from QIML and LIRP to receive this award.
